Over the years, Humphrey Feeds has achieved certain milestones that we are particularly proud of.
The Humphrey Feeds Mill was the first approved Layer Feed Manufacturer in the UK for Marks & Spencer.
We are also approved for a manufacturing other varieties of feeds such as :
- Broiler Breeder Feeds
- Non GM Feeds
- Organic Feeds
In 2001 we were accredited with the certification from Organic Farmers & Growers Association. The OF&G take a practical view of organic production and processing as an increasingly important part of the UK’s farming business. OF&G has established their own Organic Assurance Scheme and is able to inspect and certify a number of different operations.
We pride ourselves on the ability to produce tailor made diets which are certified as Non-GM
Finally, we have been accredited with Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS), which has the internationally recognised EN45011 accreditation. The purpose of UFAS is defined as:
“UFAS aims to protect human and animal health by ensuring safe practices in manufacture and distribution of animal feeding stuffs based on HACCP principles. It verifies that the industry is meeting its obligations under the appropriate feed safety related legislation and codes of practice in maintaining safety in the feed and food chain. Farmers, farm assurance schemes, major food retailers and other stakeholders are fully consulted during the development of the scheme”.
